An enormous, mansion-style home with dazzling gulf front views, Brainstopper has an airy, open floor plan that is perfect for entertaining guests. Its spacious gourmet kitchen features extra seating in the bar area, as well as ample countertop space and a full array of appliances and cookware. All new appliances were added in March 2022. All eight of the massive bedrooms in this beautiful home have their own private full bath, and the master suite includes a king bed and spectacular views of the Gulf of Mexico. Did we mention that there is a private elevator with access to each floor?



Outside, you and your loved ones can bask in the unbeatable beachfront views while enjoying the comfort of a sturdy covered deck, complete with a grill for guest use. Covered parking is also provided for your convenience.

About Brainstopper

This expansive home offers a true beach-style atmosphere, with soft, sandy shades accented by cool blues. The open floor plan allows the family chef (or chefs, there’s plenty of space!) to whip up a delicious meal while still interacting with those in the living and dining area. Chairs at the breakfast bar make for a great spot to eat, as does the whimsically themed dining table, decorated with fish motifs. Yet more seating in the living area means up to 26 guests can comfortably coexist!

Each of the seven adult bedrooms has its own decorating theme, but all boast their own comfortable king or queen beds and accompanying bathroom (some with spa-like tubs!), so no need to worry about traffic jams to get ready in the morning. The final bedroom is designed for the younger family members, holding two twin-over-full bunk beds. An on-site washer and dryer mean you can pack light on clothes; instead, be sure to bring plenty of beach gear, as this property sits right on the waterfront! Enjoy watching the sunrise from one of the expansive decks before rushing out into the waves.

About Morgantown

Morgantown is a lovely residential community located in Fort Morgan. Guests staying in Morgantown will have access to two community swimming pools, four tennis courts, and three boardwalks that provide direct access to the beach.

About Fort Morgan

Fort Morgan is a quiet beach community away from the crowds and congestion. On the peninsula, guests will find the following restaurants: Tacky Jacks 2, Sassy Bass, The Coast Restaurant, The Village Hideaway, and The Kiva Grill. Guests can play golf at the Peninsula or at Kiva Dunes. There is an accessible boat launch and marina at the Gulf Shores Marina at Fort Morgan. Last but not least, there is a historical Civil War Site to explore at the Fort Morgan Historic Site. There is something for everyone in Fort Morgan!

The layout of this home is amazing. It is a little dated and in need of some upgrades but overall it is great. A few more comforts such as blankets and beach chairs would be nice. Stop at the grocery store before you head to the house. There are NO extras or supplies. Including toilet paper or trash bags (1 for each bathroom only) The location is awesome and the sunrises and sunsets are incredible.

The place was great. The rooms were very spacious and each had their own bathroom, which was a perk. The beach was idyllic-the sand is like white powder, the water was clear and warm, and there were dolphin sitings every day. The living area was big and roomy. The place is perfect for a big group like ours was. It was also a bonus to have pools access in the neighborhood.

The house was a perfect fit for our family of 18. Probably the best vacation rental we have ever had. The beach was not crowded at all and having a beachfront rental, it made it easy for us to go to and from to the water. Only down side was jelly fish came in early this year and some days was more miserable than others. We did not have any wash cloths or kitchen dish cloths the first night which made for an inconvenience having to go all the way back into Gulf Shores to purchase some. Other than that, it was a great vacation and we have this home on our list as preference for the next stay.

Great family trip!

We had an amazing family trip for Fall Break. There were seven adults and five young children, and the place was perfect with tons of room to spare. Nice and quiet beach literally just down the steps. Open floor plan for hanging out on the kitchen/living area without feeling cramped. Elevator that makes it so easy to get luggage up to the third floor. The large ice maker is a great touch. Gas grill on the back porch. If you like crowded high rises with tons of restaurants and nightlife in close proximity, this isn't your place. If you like a huge private beach house on a quiet beach, this is your place! There are a couple restaurants close by, but we did have to drive a little ways to get to a major grocery store or restaurant scene. We loved everything about it and plan on making a return trip! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Our family had a great week in this home. We had 8 families and there was plenty of room for everyone. The number of bathrooms and refrigerators was also a huge plus. The ice maker was not operable, which would have been nice, however that would have been the only negative. I would recommend this home to anyone with a big family!

Thanksgiving Family Reunion: Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana

This is our fifth year having a Family Reunion, but our FIRST year at Brainstopper. 7 Families. Every one happy having large beautiful bedrooms with private bathroom. What was so different about this spot was how the owners opened their home up to us, by having every thing we needed in the kitchen. Beautiful personal pictures of family through the home, with beautiful decorative furniture. It was a relaxing sitting out on the beach, using the easy access to beach, or just on the large open porch. Weather was windy but warm, the children really enjoyed the beach, and their own play room (using the buck bed room). Only one member of the family stayed cold but was very happy sitting by the beautiful fire place most of the visit.

It would be hard to beat

We had a large family, and there was plenty of room for all of us. The facilities were some of the best equipped we've ever stayed in, and we travel to homes every year for vacations with our large family. There were beach toys and equipment, the kitchen was fully equipped, and the seating areas were excellent to stay together on the main floor. The deck was excellent on both floors. Some in our family don't enjoy going to the beach for as long as others, and it is perfect for some to come back and rest or sit on the deck while others stay on the beach. The beach access is right off the deck onto a beautiful, clean and private beach. As a family, we like to go to different areas on vacation. But this is one we would recommend to anyone. The only thing we didn't prefer is the distance from the main part of Gulf Shores to go to the store and eat out. As long as you can fill the house with groceries, you'll be fine!

Loved our family trip to the Brainstopper.

We had over 18 for a week in summer 2015. We cooked every night and loved our stay. The kitchen is fantastic with two dishwashers and plenty of dishes for a group of 18plus. We are repeaters and hope to visit again in 2016. We would love to see a big flat screen tv on the main level. Such a big house and one small flat screen in a tv armoire is too small for the main living area. Other than that, the house is well appointed for a large group.

We love this house! Lots of room for multi/extended family! Every room is spacious. Very well appointed! Everything about this house is great. The house is situated equal distances from both beach accesses for the community, so no one was within 20 yards of us on the beach. If I have to complain about one thing, it was that the sheets for a couple of the king beds were too small, but we slept so well that it didn't matter.

We loved Brainstopper!!

I stayed here with my husband and our 2 children. We also brought both sets of grandparents with us. We loved that each bedroom had its own bath. My kids loved the bunk beds. The Kitchen was perfect for us. The elevator made it so easy to bring our things in and out and for my mom to get around easily. The beach was beautiful. Not crowded at all even though we stayed during a busy season. We love Morgantown and have been 'trying out' several properties and have been staying in this area for many years. We loved Brainstopper. It is by far our favorite property that we have stayed in. We will be back for sure!

Great House for our family reunion

This house is very spacious and well appointed. We were 4 families staying in this house and had room to spare. Each bedroom has own private bath. Easy access to the beach from front porch. 2 dishwashers, 3 refrigerators, commercial size ice maker, gas grill--they have thought of everything.
